I grew up in Red Wing MN and was lucky enough to have a house full of animals.  I can't even remember a time where I didn't have a pet.  I knew I wanted to work with animals and so received a degree in Zoology at MSU Mankato.  After graduating I moved to Florida and worked at the Naples Zoo as a Zookeeper.  I also loved being able to work as an intern in wildlife rehabilitation at both the Conservancy of SW Florida and CROW wildlife hospital on Sanibel Island.  I eventually moved back to MN and worked at a vet clinic in Eagan and also as a zookeeper on the Northern Trail at the MN Zoo.   

After my 3rd child was born I became a stay at home mom for 6 years, it was just another form of zookeeping and I loved it just as much.  Now that all my kids are school age I am so excited to be back in the working world especially working with animals again.    

I currently live in Lakeville with my husband, three kids, dog (Bruno), cat (Katniss), guinea pigs (Marshmallow, Cinnamon, and M&M), hamsters (May & Rosie), and fish.  I enjoy endlessly cleaning up pet hair and cages in my spare time, watching my kids play sports, reading, puzzles and animal and history facts.
